Bought this backpack in preparation for a trek in Nepal. So far I have only used for walking days near my house. First impressions
- The package seems very well made and I like the durable goods. It includes an attractive green color.
- Has a lot of cassettes and hinges. The belts can reduce it, for situations where you do not need the full capacity.
- Although it initially appears to be a bit 'heavy for its size, I found that it wasextremely comfortable. A part of both the weight and level of comfort is due to the internal structure, which is not usually found in the package of this size.
- The various departments are able to charge overnight on a trip or for more extensive or of a situation where you need to be filled to capacity.
- Attachments for trekking poles are close at hand.
- Could be "too much" for someone who needs this package as a backpack for school or for your business.
All in all, I am morenot completely satisfied with my purchase. I can not wait to put this package are a key test in Nepal.

Mountainsmith Lily Recycled Fabric Backpack Overview

Designed specifically for a women's frame, the Mountainsmith Lily recycled fabric backpack is ideal for overnight use or extended day trips. The Lily divides its 1,922 cubic inches of storage space among a large main compartment, zippered side pockets with pass-thru sleeves, multiple internal organizer pockets, and a zippered vertical front pocket with elastic rigging. The pack is also notably comfortable and supportive, with four load adjusters helping disperse the weight evenly, dual-density foam shoulder straps, and a molded foam back panel. Perhaps the coolest feature, however, is the recycled fabric construction, which includes 450-denier recycled PET body fabric, 150-denier recycled PET ripstop lining, 840-denier recycled PET reinforcements, and 100-percent recycled PET webbing and binding. As a result, the Lily is less resource intensive than most other packs, making it an ideal choice for the eco-conscious hiker.

As with any good pack, the Lily also offers multiple hydration options, including a hydration sleeve with an exit port (bladder sold separately) and a pair of water bottle pockets that accommodate 32-ounce water bottles. Finally, the pack makes it easy to carry several overnight hiking accessories, with trekking pole mounts, sleeping pad compression straps, and a single ice axe loop. Other details include a fleece-lined eyewear pocket, four compression straps, an organizational sleeve, an easy-access haul handle, a removable pivoting waist belt that tucks away, a safety whistle located on the chest strap/buckle, and an elastic sternum strap with a bite valve catch. The Lily backpack measures 17 by 21.5 by 13 inches (W x H x D), weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces, and offers a fit range of 15 to 19 inches. All Mountainsmith packs carry a lifetime warranty.
