The Alpine is equipped with JanSport's patented GridFit system, which guarantees maximum comfort regardless of height or load requirements. The GridFit system is built around a harness plate that's designed to adjust to your torso length and shoulder width. Once you've set up the harness plate, you simply need to find the right settings for the load lifters, shoulder straps, and hip belt to enjoy ergonomic comfort on the trail. The pack also offers a large main teardrop compartment that's ideal for clothes, shoes, and gear, along with a drop-zone pocket and dual side water bottle pockets. And thanks to the tough construction details--which include VX07 sailcloth, 210-denier vert cordura, and 840-denier junior ballistic materials--the pack will hold up to heavy use through the years. Other features include unbound-edge shoulder straps, a compression-molded back panel, a Foamex frame sheet with aluminum stay, a wrapped-edge padded hip belt, dual ice axe loops, and a top-loading hood with four-point compression.
